Our Community Midwife runs clinics weekly on a Friday here at the practice.
Asthma Clinics
Our practice nurse runs an asthma clinic aiming to optimise your treatment so avoiding severe attacks.
Diabetic Clinic
This clinic is run jointly by Dr Morrell, our Assistant Nurse Practitioner, and the hospital diabetes clinic.
Child Health Clinics
Child health vaccination clinics are run by the practice nurses.
Dietician
Our community dietician can be seen by appointment by a doctor referral.
Sexual Health
Our Clinicians and nurses can provide contraceptive counselling and general sexual health advice and screening, as well as emergency contraception. You can also contact the local family planning team on 0300 303 2880.
Flu/Covid-19 Vaccinations
Flu and or COVID-19 vaccinations are available during seasonal times to all patients who are in the designated cohorts.
Travel Vaccinations
Our Nurses provide an NHS travel health service offering advice and appropriate immunisations. This is funded by NHSE to prevent infections and diseases from being transported back to England. Vaccines need time to take effect, and some may require a course over several weeks, this will ensure that you get the maximum effect of your vaccine. Please ensure you submit your travel information in good time, to enable us to arrange an appointment for a travel consultation at least 8 weeks before your departure. Any vaccinations and immunisations required in less than 8 weeks may need to be sought from a private travel clinic nut we will advise you on this.
Health Checks
Most patients aged 40 – 74 years are entitled to a FREE NHS health check – You will be invited automatically when you are eligible. These are only completed every 5 years on an individual.
Breast Screening
If you are female, over 70 years old and would like to continue to be screened for breast cancer, please contact the screening office on 01494 425689 to arrange an appointment.
NHS Campaigns
We continue to offer shingles, pneumococcal vaccine as well as MMR catch up , Meningitis (for those that did not have this as a child. ) Other Routine vaccinations and others please enquire is unsure.
When you are eligible you will be invited into the surgery for an appointment.
